Sound legal counsel and personalized service.
At my law firm, I am pleased to provide each client with the highly personalized counsel only found at a solo practice, and, since I limit my practice to select areas, I also offer the depth of experience generally associated with large firms. If you have any questions for me, please contact my Santa Fe law office and ask for Karen.
Over 30 years of experience
Since 1978, I have practiced oil and gas law in New Mexico. I also help businesses with planning, transactions, and litigation; assist developers and property owners with water rights and real estate issues; and offer legal counsel to individuals who need estate planning advice or a family law/divorce attorney.
Efficient and effective services, long-term relationships.
In many cases, I work with clients over long periods of time and on a variety of issues. I may help a small oil producer with an operating agreement, and later help the same client form a family limited partnership (FLP) as part of an estate plan. My familiarity with my client’s affairs helps me provide the most efficient and effective solutions.
Experienced New Mexico oil and gas lawyer - I know who to call.
Because of my long-standing relationships with Santa Fe city and county officials and staff, and the New Mexico Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, I know who to call to get your project off the ground. When landowners and developers need to resolve water rights and other issues, I can help.
Committed to the Santa Fe community.
My involvement in the Santa Fe community extends beyond my law practice, and includes my work for local non-profit organizations, including the Santa Fe Pro Musica, the Santa Fe Rotary Foundation, the New Mexico Suicide Intervention Project, and the Episcopal Church.
